The Angels of Morgan Hill / Donna VanLiere.
The small town of Morgan Hill, Tennessee, is turned upside down in 1947 when the Turners become the first black family ever to move into the area. Thier presence challenges the comfort of many in the small, close-knit town. Nine-year-old Jane Gable first lays eyes on six-year-old Milo Turner the day that her trouble-making, alcoholic father is buried. Then tragedy strikes the Turner household: Their mother is dying. Now, her last request finds the Gable family torn between their familiar life and new possibilities that could rip thier world apart.
