Lost among the living / Simone St. James.

St. James, Simone, (author.).

Summary:

Three years after the death of her husband, Alex, during World War I, Jo Manders has found work as the paid companion to Alex's aunt, Dottie Forsyth. Together the pair make their way to Wych Elm House, the Forsyth country home, where Jo meets the rest of the family. This includes Martin, Alex's cousin, who was wounded during the war and has only recently returned to England after a mysterious stay in a Swiss hospital. But Martin and his distant, disdainful father are the least of Jo's problems; something is awake at Wych Elm House and it wants Jo's attention. As the mysteries behind a tragic death and family secrets grow, so do the dark happenings plaguing the house. Worse yet is the day when someone from Jo's past reappears. Someone who should be very much dead.
